Born on June 10, 1992 at Mukatsar Sahib, Punjab, Anant Aalam felt a pang for the visually impaired while watching a play by the blind, on Bulle Shah. Anant belongs to a simple family and has hardly any financial surplus for charity; but Anant has taken upon himself to help the visually impaired by reading out books to them, recording for different organizations for V I and writing exams of the V I. he has recorded over 30 books and helped more than five hundred blind, in writing their exams.
His ambition is to start an institution to help the visually impaired and the other needy, in an organized way.
Presently, Anant Aalam is pursuing Masters in Social Work from Panjab University; and has become a Role Model amongst the students. He also leads a group of volunteers to help visually impaired admission seeker, helping with the paperwork of the V I Students in the University, while accompanying them to banks, shopping and etc.
