Sh. Aneesh Bhanot, brother of the brave Neerja Bhanot, a cabin crew member of the hijacked PAN Am flight, gave away prizes to the children at the Disha centre here on November 14. Listening to Neerja Bhanot’s sacrifice, the children were motivated to take up careers in the skies.

The children at the Disha Centre enjoyed the cultural gathering to mark children’s day. Disha Centre prepares these children for admission to regular schools. Almost all the children belong to underprivileged families dwelling in the nearby Jhugis/Slum.

Sh. Aneesh Bhanot was the Chief Guest on this occasion while Smt. Simrit Josan welcomed him. Smt. Veena Jain of Nikamal Jewelers, Smt. Jatinder Kaur vice president, Smt. Nirmala Baweja, Rishu Garg, Smt. Sneh Mital of Punjab Stores, Parnish Dhiman, Aditi Sharma, Ravi Kashyap and Naman Kumar a student from PEC, also celebrated the children’s day with the Disha Centre children.

Refreshments were sponsored by Smt. Meenu Tayal and Smt. Sneh Mital, for the children’s day.
